how do i get firefox to ask me *again* to remember my password?

sometimes when i'm unsure of a password, i tell the firefox prompt 'not right now' when it asks me if i want it to remember my password. problem is, after i figure out the %@^* password, it never asks me again. i currently keep my passwords in a text file so i can log in to different sites, but i'd much rather have it stored in the browser. thanks in advance for any help.

Upgrade to FF3. In Firefox 3, the "remember" prompt appears at the top of the window instead of as a pop-up, so you can wait until after your login is accepted to click the "remember" button.

Tools/Options, the Security tab and then the [Saved Passwords] button. Select and remove the entry that Firefox has stored and at your next visit you'll be prompted to save the password.

Assuming firefox v3

in the menu bar - go to Tools, options, privacy tab

Click the Settings button in the Private Data section and make sure Saved Passwords is checked, then click the Clear Now button

Regarding password storage, consider using a secure password database application like the open-source KeePass.
