Where do buskers get the backing tracks they play along to?

I heard a busker on the underground today playing trumpet along to a very funky version of watermelon man that was clearly not Jamey Aebersold's.
As a sax player, I'm constantly looking for new play-alongs, so any recommendations would be welcome!

Band In A Box does a great job of "music minus one" in some styles.

The busker I know has me remixing minus one guitar, which seems like cheating.

You might also do well with a "vocal eliminator", which inverts one channel and adds them together so that anything monophonic in the middle goes away (like vocals or lead instrument).

I use midi files to accompany guitar because you select the instruments you want while playing & optionally save them. If you search the internet there are lots of sites with varying quality of files. I believe this site has professional quality files: http://www.bandtrax.com.au/
