AppleWorks Spreadsheet: how do I write a formula which returns a count of the number of times a specific string of text occurs in a cell range?

Do these help?

Funtions guide

Intro to AW Spreadsheet

I just glanced at the functions guide - try setting up a secondary cell-range that reports a 1 or 0 for the string you are after and running the numeric count against that range.

Good luck!

Response by poster: I'll give those a look Mwhybark, although my look into the help files and googling left me wanting. Maybe I am just not understanding what I am reading. :-|

Response by poster: Have it working now, Mwhy. Thanks. Somehow I was reading that the "COUNT2" function could select a partial string of text from a cell. Not so. :-)
