Meta-Metafilter Filter Question

Although I heart Ask Mefi, there are some categories I really don't care about (the "I'm going to be traveling to [Genericville] this summer. What should I see while there?"-type questions for example). No offense. They're just not my cuppa soup.

Is there a way to filter out certain categories (perhaps Travel & Transportation in my case for example) on my Ask MeFi homepage the way you can on Slashdot or Digg, for example? I checked the Preferences page but didn't see anything helpful on the subject.

Response by poster: Er, nevermind. I was looking through preferences, but not under My AskMefi, which deals exactly with this.

Sorry for wasting everyone's electrons.

Click the My Ask tab at the top of the Ask Metafilter index page.

You can also set up a Yahoo Pipe to do filtering on keyword. I block cities and countries I've no interest in, as they arise. A couple of weeks, and you've nailed all the common ones.
