Barcelona: Hotel Regina vs Prestige Passeo de Gracia

Barcelona: Please Help me choose between two hotels

We have reservations at two Barcelona hotels for September. Is anyone familiar with them who can advise me which to pick?
1)Prestege Passeo de Gracia
2)Hotel Regina
Prestige is $326 USD/night not including taxes
Regina is $290 USD/night which includes taxes.
Is Prestige worth spending $60 more per night ?

What do you value in a hotel? Are you looking for someone who's stayed in each of the hotels, or are you looking for more general advice such as comparison of location?

If you're cool with getting some info on the latter (and mind you I lived in Barcelona 10 years ago--ouch that's a long time), I'd say that the Prestige is in a slightly ritzier location. The Regina is closer to the Plaza Catalunya, but really, both are very well located.

Looking just at the website, I'd go for the Regina. It has a sauna and pool, and more amenities in general. Also, the Prestige website (ugly) says that anything you see in the hotel, furniture etc., is for sale. That's kind of tacky in my opinion.

Lylo, have you been to tripadvisor.com to read reviews? You probably have but I thought I'd share because this is where I go to decide on a hotel. Have a good trip!
