Dog friendly housing in Seattle?

Does anyone know of pet-friendly (specifically dog-friendly) apartment buildings in Seattle proper that are also affordable for wage slaves?

Sorry I don't have anything more specific to offer, but I've only ever found housing in Seattle via Cragislist, which will allow you to filter by maximum price and pet allowance via their search.

Not sure if you're living in Seattle right now... I used to live in the Greenlake neighborhood - it's a very dog-friendly neighborhood so you might find something good if you walk around there and look for "for rent" signs. You could even talk to young people with dogs that you see around the Greenlake trail, or even go to the off-leash dog parks (try Woodland Park or Sand Point Magnuson). Some of them even have bulletin boards I think - you could even post a "looking for dog-friendly apartment" ad. What I remember about Seattle is strangers don't care if you want to chat with them about stuff like this - in fact, they seem to like to help out. Definitely look on craigslist and check the dogs allowed box as a first step.

If you find that most apartment buildings forbid pets, you might have better luck looking for individual condo units being rented out by their owners, rather than apartment buildings proper.

You don't say what neighborhood you're looking at, but Belltown is densely populated with dogs and is pretty nice--you have the waterfront, Seattle Center, Olympic Sculpture Park, and Myrtle Edwards Park for walks, lots of services catering to dogs (doggie daycares, etc.), and lots of dog lovers for neighbors.
