Help find me a mailbox

I need help finding the perfect mailbox. One without an eagle on it. Yes, we're picky.

Here's the deal: Suburban house, with a mailbox on a post. Right now we've got one of those plastic Rubbermaid mailbox and post combos.

Here's what we're looking for: A plain black or dark green metal mailbox with a red flag. Here's the catch- We want one without an embossed eagle on the door. The eagle is a really big deal. No eagle. "US Mail" is fine but no eagle.

Here's a sample of what we don't want. If you look closely, you'll see the hated eagle. There are also some armored baseball bat proof mailbox vaults that won't work.

This one is ok, but without the copper flag.

I've looked everywhere I can think of. Big box hardware stores, specialty garden stores, every home and garden store I can think of, physical or online, Google.

Please help. Just no eagles. We are desperate,

Maybe you could buy the Smith and Hawken one, then paint the flag red?

Best answer: Check farm supply stores. Bam!

Response by poster: Awesome, thanks! I pass Tractor Supply Store every day - the horse pens out front must have thrown me off, never thought they'd sell mailboxes.

We have this one. It's plastic, but very durable. No eagle.

Interesting. I'm looking to replace a mailbox too, but wait... why no eagle? Bad experience as a child? Eagles eat your dog? Don't like their beaks? Large talons too scary?
