It's worth noting, if you'll be watching with some die-hard footie fans, that the "European Cup" usually refers to a club trophy (now called the Champions League Champions Cup, I believe). posted by proj at 7:37 AM on June 28, 2008

You don't have to be that pedantic about it, really. The European Championship is also regularly referred to as the European Cup (or even the Euro Cup, as the famous Irish supporters' song from Euro '88 attests). posted by macdara at 10:07 AM on June 28, 2008
In Falls Church, VA, there is a place called the Futbol Cafe. Its a highly spanish/peruvian/cuban area about 6 miles outside of DC. Take 395 down to King Street. Take King Street West about 1 mile, turn right into Bailey's Crossroads shopping center. Futbol Cafe is on your right at the end of the shopping center. Its not close to a metro station, a cab will cost about $20. posted by BigVACub at 5:54 PM on June 28, 2008
