Who made this world, again?

Help me find this book about people abducted by nontraditional faeries!

So, in the novel there were all these people from different decades (I think all in the 20th century though I'm not sure) who had been taken into another world by faeries. Some (maybe all) of the characters were from England. The new world was not the traditional, drenched-in-magic faerie world. The humans lived separately, and there were also (I think) dinosaurs living there. A lot of the action of the novel takes place without the direct involvement of the faeries. One of the humans is seduced into joining the faeries and everyone thinks this is horrible (there's some religious overtones to that, losing your soul, etc.), but later the main character sees that person and they're changed but it's not really all that bad. The faeries were somewhat insectile. I read this book sometime in the nineties, so it would have been published then or earlier. Thanks for your help!

War for The Oaks is a great urban fantasy -- it's set in Minneapolis, with faeries who are a mix of old world & punk rock. More plot.

D'oh! I'm sorry for my irrelevant answer -- I totally misread your question. War for the Oaks is tons of fun, but I don't think it's the book you're looking for.

Could it have been something by Garry Kilworth? He did some fairy juveniles like this, and A Midsummer's Nightmare.
