Where can I find fresh sour cherries in Toronto?

St. Lawrence Fish Market has a pretty substantial fruit and veg area; that might be worth a look.

The local ones may not be in season yet; at the farmers' markets here in Chicago, they tell me that the Michigan cherries will appear some time in the next week or two. So even if you don't find them now, I'd check again in a week or so and/or ask the managers when they expect to get them.

(And yeah, local farmers' markets would also be a good bet.)

When they come, they'll be everywhere. The season is short, but there's no shortage.

I've never seen sour cherries at a local Toronto market. The only place I've ever bought them was Whole Foods. Not sure they have 'em yet, though.

It's rare to see them at grocery stores. I used to get them at the little fruit & veg stores on Roncesvalles. Not all of them have them, but one of them will once they're in season. The season is indeed short. The fruit stands on Bloor west may have them as well.
