Can I tether my LG Rumor to my computer with just Sprint's Vision pack? If not does the Boost trick still work?

It's exactly something they advertise. I know speed wouldn't be super awesome, but it's better than no internet connection. What would be the limitations on this? And are there any tricks to make it work?

About a year ago I was using Boost Mobile's WIDEN access for this, and was getting around 60k both ways reliably. Will this still work if my Rumor won't?

If no one is able to answer here this is a perfect question for Howard Forums. I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with Sprint's product lineup.
