Question: Will Firefox 3.0 finally allow inline viewing of pdf's on an intel mac?

Yippee - Firefox 3.0 has landed. Will this solve the most glaring problem with Firefox 2.x - unlike native Mac app Safari, Firefox can't load pdf's inline.

One separate question: The other feature I love about Safari is how well spotlight handles indexing and searching web pages saved using Safari. What's the best way to archive web pages using Firefox so that I can find them with spotlight? I love Scrapbook, but spotlight doesn't.

Doesn't appear to have changed - I still get the "what do you want to do with this PDF" dialog box.

I haven't downloaded FF3 just yet, but running a g4 powerbook (10.4.11) and FF 2.0.0.14, I've been perfectly happy with Schubertit as an inline pdf reader. I don't know if it will work with FF3.

And I found this, but I can't recommend or not recommend, because I haven't tried it.

Yes!! Attention, intel mac FF3 users: the Google extension rtha mentioned works like a charm!! PDF's open inline in FF3, resizable and with fully copyable text. The reason I can't use Schubertit is because it doesn't work on intel macs like mine.

Some more information on the plugin from Arstechnica. Sounds like they like it.
