Boston Celtics of Los Angeles

Hey, sports fans: I'm trying to come up with a list of connections the Boston Celtics have to Los Angeles. Some of the current roster went to high school or college here... but I'd like to come up with more than the obvious.

Here's what I have so far:

Celtics #50 Eddie House played 60 games with the Los Angeles Clippers in the '04/'05 season, and head coach Doc Rivers was also a Clipper man between '91 and '92.

#44, Brian Scalabrine earned his social science degree while playing with the USC Trojans.

And both #13 Gabe Pruitt and #34 Paul Pierce call Los Angeles their home town - Pruitt, played at Westchester High before going to USC where he still holds the record for the most three pointers, and Pierce grew up in Inglewood.

Any other suggestions? Does anyone know of retired players who ended up moving to Los Angeles? Any former Celtics who are possibly playing for the Clippers? etc.... (this is for a blog post, btw)

Bill Walton's son is the Laker's Luke - but I suppose everyone knows that.

and Walton came from the Clippers, but now we are getting a bit remote. I am no sports trivia expert but it does seem like there is very little connection between the two teams other than their on court rivalry. How odd.

To clarify, I'm looking for a connection between the Celtics and Los Angeles as a geographic region... not between the Celtics and the Lakers.

Sam Cassell played for the Clippers for a couple of years before getting cut and then signing with the Celts late this season.

Oh. OK.

There's this guy called Bill Walton who used to play for the Boston Celtics basketball team and who has a son who plays for a basketball team that is based in Los Angeles.
