how to keep from having Bored kids

what activities/programs are recommended to have children do this summer in Irving, TX? We haven't been here for very long and haven't "found our way" yet. we do have a limited budget and need something for the kids to do during the day while we are at work. I'm talking about a 10 yo boy and 13 yo girl. please and thanks in advance.

YMCA Day Camp might work for the 10 year old, if there are still any openings. The 13 year old could probably find less organized programs at the Y, too, or look for volunteer opportunities at the local library, parks and recreation department [link to Summer 2008 Teen Programs Schedule in .pdf format], etc.
