I just added Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction with the orig artwork but the vinyl seems dirty and sounds bad. Does anyone have any preferences or suggestions for a good record cleaner?

A 7:1:14 mix of ethyl alcohol, isopropyl, water with a few drops of detergent works well. Dry in a cold breeze.

I use this stuff that comes in a black box with a nice brush and a red bottle that fits inside the handle of the brush. I'm sorry but I'm spacing on the name. Works pretty well though.

Just to beat the dead horse, Discwasher is great for run of the mill cleanings and holloway's suggestion will get some imbedded fungus out.

If neither of those work I'd just look for another copy. Once a record gets to a certain point there is no recovery.

Third (Fourth? Fifth?) the recommendation for Discwasher. Used it both at a radio station and at home. No complaints.
