How do I get into the Kinky groove in London?

Any ideas for cowboy and country-and-western themed places in London, UK?
A friend and I are going to watch a Kinky Friedman gig in London (UK) in a few days. We'd like to have a full-on cowboy/Texas/country & western-themed evening before and afterwards. Can y'all recommend some appropriate places in London where we might get dinner or have some drinks? (And does anywhere in London do decent frozen margaritas?)

I had some BBQ in London a few years back at Bodean's, in Soho. Not bad at all, and the £10 ribs-and-a-beer special was a pretty good deal to boot. I think we--one of us being a good ol' boy from South Carolina--frightened the waiter, though.
Texas Embassy does look to have a fairly authentic Tex-Mex menu, though, which is definitely more "Texas" than (although not as tasty as, if you ask me) the pork-based BBQ at Bodean's.

The Texas Embassy has decent margaritas. I wish I could say the same about the food.
I would recommend Bodean's, despite it not being Texas-style barbecue. I think the food is a lot better there. The ribs are decent; I recommend them over beef brisket which would be more authentic.

Best margaritas in London are at Wahaca in Covent Garden. Anyplace with a whole tequila sipping menu, takes their margaritas seriously!
Haven't been to the Texas embassy, but Bodeans food is pretty good, and they serve Sam Adams.

If you want a takeaway, try Mexifresh. Great food...almost like home! I still haven't found a good sit-down Mexican restaurant in London. As one friend described it, it's like they've got the sheet music, but never heard the song.

Yummm, Bodean's. There's a couple of them around. Never been to Texas Embassy but heard bad things.

It’s one of two things – the ingredients (you can’t get the cheese!) or the people (that’s an immigrant population we don’t have).
Never been to Texas Embassy but heard bad things.
We (me: british, my wife: American, of the opinion that Mexican food in the UK almost entirely suckssucks) have taken Americans there with okay results, and would say that the food does not offend even if it doesn’t knock peoples socks off, and it’s always been a good time with good booze. Others might be pickier, and if theres a place selling Mexican food that’s actually good rather than average you should probably go with it. :)

I thought the food at La Perla was better, but not good enough for me to rush back. This Wahaca place intrigues me, I would probably try it before going back to any of the other restaurants.
To be honest, so far the best Mexican food I have had in the UK (and the only place I have returned to) is here in Cambridge at Mannamexico, which is a burrito takeaway.
I should also point out the Arkansas Cafe, which has barbecue that is more like Texas barbecue, but still not as good as Bodean's in my opinion.

The ribs are decent at Bodeans, but everything else is completely diabolical. Choose wisely!

I was delighted with Wahaca. It's the only sit-down Mexican restaurant I would have a big urge to return to. It's not Tex-Mex though.

Response by poster: Dear all,
Thanks for the answers! I'll probably suggest Texas Embassy or Wahaca, and see how it goes. Thanks again!
