Chewy, flavorful, low calorie, and rather expensive.

I have an addiction to sugar free, nearly-zero calorie Lakerol pastilles, ideally in cassis or lemon, and to Ricola's similar lemon-mint breath mints. Because they're primarily made of gum arabic, they're very chewable and give my mouth something to do... and yes, very tasty. The problem being that they're about $1.40 for a .8 oz. box, and I can go through 2-3 boxes a day, no problem. At $28 a pound, that's more expensive than some cigarrette habits! Any ideas on similarly chewable nearly no calorie candies, ideally in a larger container, in bulk, by the pound, etc?

You can buy them by the case via Costco.

No ideas on getting them cheaper, but I am also absolutely addicted to Lakerols. I feel your pain.

Bulk Puntini and Chips have the same jaw-workout formula in more flavors, maddeningly twisted up in individual wrappers.

Reed's has some delicious ginger chews that I adore. They have a similar gummy, mouth-working chewableness. And ginger is so good for you.

They're not sugar free, but then I'd rather chance a few calories than scary chemical sugar-substitutes...

I've never had Lakerols, but apparently that's good.. I freaking LOVE those Ricola's. I luckly can't get them that easily, so I don't have them much...
