They're mammals. I don't see why the same factors that cause human heart attacks wouldn't impact any other critter.

Yes, in fact, they're very susceptible to them. I've been told on more than one occasion that you should be very careful near rabbits, because if they get too worked up they can easily have a heart attack, especially when older.

Wow. At first I thought, wouldn't it have been easier for this person to google it in the first place? I mean, isn't that a preliminary step?

Then I read the answers above, and have become preoccupied by the analogous question of whether a penguin can go insane.

Yes, this happened to a rabbit of mine growing up one 4th of July. :(

If you see a rabbit in a zoo, it is domesticated. Wild rabbits will have heart attacks pretty much the minute you try to put them in a cage.

I'm curious as to what the reasons would be for believing that bunny rabbits don't have heart attacks?

waitangi, I'm sorry to hear that - July 4th in the US sucks for critters.
Aerobic activity, avoiding fatty foods, getting eaten by predators in their elder years?

We used to raise rabbits (well, my dad did). The neighbors dog chased it all over the yard and although my dad got the dog away before the rabbit was caught, the rabbit keeled over anyway out of fright and too much exercise.
