Debate at work. Can Bunny Rabbits have heart attacks.

We are having a debate at work about whether or not Bunny Rabbits can have a heart attack.

They're mammals. I don't see why the same factors that cause human heart attacks wouldn't impact any other critter.

Yes, in fact, they're very susceptible to them. I've been told on more than one occasion that you should be very careful near rabbits, because if they get too worked up they can easily have a heart attack, especially when older.

If you see a rabbit in a zoo, it is domesticated. Wild rabbits will have heart attacks pretty much the minute you try to put them in a cage.

We used to raise rabbits (well, my dad did). The neighbors dog chased it all over the yard and although my dad got the dog away before the rabbit was caught, the rabbit keeled over anyway out of fright and too much exercise.
