Vintage airplanes over Los Angeles

On this past Mother's Day afternoon, I saw several WWII-era aircraft flying around L.A. over the course of a few hours. Anyone know if there was some air show or something else like that going on that day?

According to this calendar, there were a couple air shows that day, one in Chino and one in Corona. The Chino "Planes of Fame" website shows some good pictures of their planes, so you can see if they look like the ones you saw.

I had a friend that was very active in WWII reenactments and he hung out with some guys who actually owned planes from that area. Those guys kept their planes at the Camarillo and Chino airports. Every once in a while, they'd get together and fly around in formation. So, it could be a case of some pilots taking their planes out for a "spin".

Thanks, katemonster and sideshow. The planes on the Chino web site are just like some of the ones I saw. Good chance they were from there.
