Firefox 3 Beta Quits After Installing Extension

I love Firefox 3. However, since trying its most recent release, I've been having problems. I mistakenly activated the "nightly tester tools" extension so that I could activate all my old add-ons from Firefox 2.

Since installing the extension FF3 suddenly quits whenever I try to open it. I've reinstalled it, I've deactivated the extension via FF2, and still FF3 won't open.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm ready to start using FF3: so much faster! I'm running Leopard on a Macbook Pro, by the way.

B0rked profile, most likely.

I had this problem as well, and I had to manually uninstall the Google toolbar extension (i.e., remove the actual extension files from the library/application support/firefox/profiles/profilename/extensions/ folder) after I used nightly tester tools to force compatibility on all my extensions. This solved the problem for me.

Can you start Firefox in safe mode? That should run Firefox without any extensions and you should be able to remove NTT.

Do you have the Google Toolbar for FF installed? That add-on will crash FF3 at this point in time. I had to deactivate it (start FF3 in safe mode and deactivate it that way), before I could get FF 3 to work.
