Multi-platform, web-accessible task list software

Having searched through askMeFi already, I haven't come across anything that answers my query. I use Evernote, which is a fine web/application, that is accessible on all platforms, via the web, and by Iphone. Does such a thing exist in the realms of to-do list software? I prefer being able to put my tasks into an application, but have them accessible and synced to the web. I use OS X

2nd Remember the Milk. While I've not seen a Mac desktop app for RTM the API is certainly open enough to allow for one (and in fact, it appears there are a few in development.) You can, in the meantime, sync it with ICal, GMail, Google Calendar, etc. The Pro (paid) account even allows for a nice-looking mobile version.

How about Ta-Da List or even Backpack? Both have worked great for me, and have mobile versions available as well.

I don't know as it's really what you want when you say a "desktop application", but you could use either Prism or Fluid to create a "Remember the Milk" application (and/or a whatever-todo-website-you-like application). It would be a single-site browser, in effect, but that may be enough. And keep in mind RTM's support for Google Gears gives it offline access that syncs, if that is your motivation for wanting a desktop application.

Am I allowed to promote my own app? tedium is web-based and so should work wherever you can access the web. I haven't developed a specific mobile version yet, but as the iPhone is webkit-based it should work.

I'd be interested to hear how it works with the iPhone as I haven't got one to try it out.

I use Remember the Milk to sync with my mobile phone's (Blackberry for me) task application, which in turn syncs with Outlook on my desktop.

I also highly recommend RTM. I have a "pro" account and the iPhone application is awesome.

I kind of wish it had a standalone app too. There's a Dashboard widget but it's not very good (can't add tasks, only check them off). What I do is have it open the mobile site in a Firefox tab since I pretty much always have a browser window open. I may try WCityMike's suggestion though..

Supposedly there is a way to subscribe to your RTM list in iCal but I could never get it working.

It's the iCalendar or iCalendar (Events) lilnk that appears in the sidebar on the right when a task is not selected.
