Sources on the history of DC and Marion Barry?

Where can I find books, videos, articles etc. about the history of DC from the 1950s on?

I'm researching the life of DC's most infamous resident, Mayor Marion Barry. I've searched Amazon but haven't really found much other than two books about him. I'd like to find sources that deal specifically with his rise and fall (and then rise) from power and the economic and social conditions of the city.

Jonetta Rose Barras's "Last of the Black Emperors" is one of the best.

You might also check out "Dream City" as well.

Unfortunately, there really aren't that many books about DC (the city, not the federal capital)

The DC Public Library system has an excellent collection of Washingtoniana.
