Primal urges (not like that)

Video games similar to Primal?

My girlfriend is trying to track down another game that she can get as enthusiastic about as Primal. She cites the story, characters, fights, and soundtrack as all coming together into a perfect package of sorts, and mentions that even God of War didn't quite do it for her.

Any recommendations? Non-PS3/360 ideally (I have a Wii and a PS2 though).

Indigo Prophecy and Beyond Good & Evil both have really solid production values as well as engaging stories. Both are available for the PS2.

Awesome point -- I'd forgotten I own BG&E (mostly because, uh, I haven't played it yet after like a year and a half).

My almost standard suggestions for somone who likes immersive gaming is ICO and then Shadow of the Colossus, both on the PS2.
