Where to hold an off-site meeting outside of Manhattan?

Anyone have recommendations for a place where my 10 person, New York City-based design team can hold a 2 day off-site meeting? Should be within an hour of manhattan, ideally north of the city. We would need to be able to sleep there, and there would need to be a conference room with whiteboard, etc. Would be great if the place had some charm.

Mohonk Mountain House. I checked this place out for a retreat once. The cost wasn't absurd.

Silvermine Tavern. One hour from NYC. Charming, restaurant on-site with great food, very low tech so it is difficult for people to walk away from the corporate meetings easily :)

I used to stay there frequently when I traveled to Rowayton, CT on business. Lovely place.

I second the Mohonk Mountain House. I just attended a retreat there, and it is stunning.

I don't know if this would be of interest to design folk, but the Silvermine Tavern is also close to the Silvermine Art Guild. You can host a meeting in the galleries there.

Ooh, had my wedding reception at Silvermine. Which means I remember none of it. Food got lots of compliments though.

Do NOT go to Doral Arrowwood. It's less than an hour from NYC, but it's pretty awful.

How spendy are you thinking? Check out Castle on the Hudson, in Tarrytown.

There is an IBM facility with an onsite hotel, health club and bar (lots and lots of meeting rooms too) near Piermont. Or Nyac. Sorry for the vagueness.

The IBM facility that JohnnyGunn mentions is in Palisades, NY. It's managed by an outside company (whose site seems to be down right now) and as far as I know, they host outside companies as I've been to events there that were for non-IBM entities. It has a hotel, bar, gym, and food facilities onsite. It's not easy to get to by train, though. You'd have to drive.

It's great for meeting spaces, though, as they have tons of rooms with pretty much every kind of meeting technology available. Projectors, meeting rooms, videoconferencing, etc.

I've never stayed overnight at the Rye Town Hilton, but I've used the pool and have been there for brunch many times. Lots of services because it's a big hotel, but it's nicely set (they even say they have a walking trail on their "45 wooded acres") and doesn't come off as sterile or generic. You'll also be close to good restaurants in Rye and the same plus decent entertainment (if you want it) in White Plains and Greenwich. It's a 40 minute ride on MetroNorth.

I was thinking of the Tarrytown place myself, Castle on the Hudson. Nice, but yes, pricey.
