Online reading room help

I need to make a password protected online space where I can have clients look at specific documents.

There needs to be a place where they can sign non-disclosure agreements and it would be ideal if the account had an expiration date. Are there any companies that facilitate the creation of reading rooms like this? Or ideally I would like to make it myself... some type of template has got to exist for this right?

I saw a demo of this online review tool a while back that may fit your criteria. I am not endorsing the product, but your description reminded me of the demo.

Response by poster: Thanks rabbitsnake, I could probably make that work if its my only option but its really more of an online collaborative tool. I'm looking more for just a 'read only' type online space.

You can do this with google documents by controlling password settings for individual documents. See their tour.

Might drop.io work?

Do you have your own web host? Many hosting companies offer the ability to "password protect" (htaccess) directories/subdirectories so only invitees can view/download content. If you do use a web host, check your control panel.

There is also Scribd, but I'm not sure about their password settings.

I have such a php script that I installed on my own servers, but its very specific for my needs (just display my working todo list). I'm planning to build this out though, you can send me a mail and I'll tell you when its done.
