Simple Wordpress Newsletter plugin

Recommendations for a wordpress newsletter plugin.

Google only seems to find the all-encompassing plugins. All i really need is a plugin that makes it possible for users to subscribe and unsubscribe and for the admins to export a list of current subscribers.

Randomly, I wrote a plugin to do exactly that the other day. Website's in the profile.

Instead of a WP plugin, another option would be to use a service such as MailChimp or Campaign Monitor and add a form to subscribe directly (they give you the markup to paste into your template). You then pay to send out emails, and the data is held with the service rather than on your server, but it's often an easier and more reliable approach.

Not always that easy with WP, which doesn't always play well with cut & paste code.

Maybe it's not what you are looking for, but Feedburner does this.
They can subscribe via email, and you, as the admin can export all email subscribers email address to Excel or CSV.

Seems better with the built in sidebar widgets in the new version if you choose "text" for your sidebar block.
