How many person-miles are flown every year by commercial airlines?

I can't seem to find any statistics online that address this specific question. I want to know how many person miles are flown annually by all commercial airlines worldwide. Meaning: airlines x total miles flown x number of passengers on each flight. Can anyone help?

Bureau of Transportation Statistics is one source.

The UN's statistics site lets you use a simple tool to extract annual air passenger kilometers for 183 countries. This data is already organized for you in an excel spreadsheet for Asian and Pacific countries.

This sounds like a Fermi problem.
