How do I style my hair like that of Dr. House?

How can I style my hair in a similar manner to Hugh Laurie in the TV show House? Is it even possible with wavy hair? What products do I use?

A few more details:

I am looking for a new hairstyle (I currently just comb it).
I am a 20 year old college student.
I need lots of help as I've never styled my hair before.
If I can't do it with wavy hair, what styles could I try?

Hugh Laurie actually wears a hair piece when playing House due to thinning hair.

It's possible with wavy hair. I have wavy hair. I'm a girl with a pixie cut. I have good luck alternating between Matrix Dirty Trix, Great Clips Design Taffy, and Detour Grid Lock. You will not need to use much product at all on short hair.

Print out a picture of Hugh Laurie and show it the person who cuts your hair. It's a basic guy's cut and they will know how to do it.
