YouTube videos stuck on the loading screen--how do I fix?

I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition on a Dell E510. I recently installed AIM, then uninstalled it. Since then, YouTube doesn't work. I can navigate around the site, but all videos are stuck on the loading screen.

I've tried everything I can think of:

- restarting
- turning off Windows Firewall and Norton Antivirus worm protection etc.
- unintalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash
- disabling GreaseMonkey and AdBlock
- reinstalling Firefox
- trying it in IE and Opera

Nothing works.

Flash video player works fine on other video sites, such as nytimes.com and devilducky.com. Other movie sites like apple.com/trailers work fine.

Any help? Thanks in advance.

I fixed the problem by disabling Google Web Accelerator. I since found this.
