Can you identify this shrub? I saw it last January in the Japanese Tea Garden at Golden Gate Park. It was somewhere between 4-6 feet tall, as far as I can recall. The multicolored berries(?) were growing in groups of three, and leaves were emerging from some of the larger ones.

I've done a lot of googling, but to no avail.

Here is a photo showing the berries. We have these in New Orleans, they can grow 60 feet tall
