My laptop keeps losing it's rubber feet! It's a dell inspiron 660m. thistothat.com suggests something called Barges Glue, but I'm concerned because of two things. One, that my laptop gets quite toasty (it's on my lap for two hours of commuting every day), and two, that there's the goopy messy remains of the original glue that I'm not sure what to do with. Anyone got a nifty solution?

Barge cement is the best. I use it anytime that I need to affix one thing to another and make sure that it won't come off. I'd remove the original sticky residue with duct tape (stick on firmly, yank off, repeat as necessary), or you could use a product like De-Solv-It, Goo Gone or Un-Du. Then barge cement those puppies on there, and you should be good to go.

FWIW, I've often used barge cement to reattach split boot soles while hiking the AT, and walked many a mile on baking hot asphalt and rock, and that stuff holds mighty good in the heat.
