Can I change the date in Google Earth 4.3 Sunlight new feature?

Google Earth 4.3 added a new feature called Sunlight where one can simulate the lightning on different parts of the world depending on the local time. As you know, the amount of lightning depends a lot on the date (sun is "higher" during Summer and much "lower" during Winter). The thing is I can't find any way to change the date in the Google Earth interface. As a workaround I can change my computer clock date, and this does have an effect, but I was wondering if anybody managed to get this done directly within Google Earth.

I'm not sure if it would be helpful for your specific application, but you should know that SketchUp does exactly what you're looking for: the sun's position can be set by latitude, longitude, date, and time. The feature is called Shadows, and terrains and in some cases buildings can be imported from Earth. Animations are even possible.

The time slider doesn't work for you?

des, the time slider changes the time of day, not the season of the year.
