Cape Cod rental

I am looking for a good place to go camping for a long weekend in August on Cape Cod. It could also be a rental cottage but by tradition we go camping so a campground is preferable. It's a memorial of sorts and there is a high chance of drinking and toasting till the wee hours... There are about 6 of us and we're looking for something that allows for a little privacy. I would prefer to be near Provincetown, if possible. Any suggestions?

There are nice campgrounds in North Truro on Highland Road (backs onto the golf course, has RVs as well as camp sites) and on Head Of The Meadow Road (closer to the beach, more remote, fewer cars around).

Well, it is not exactly near Provincetown, but there is some very nice camping at Nickerson State Park. They are just completing some upgrades/repairs, so it may be a very busy season this year. There is a campsite actually in Provincetown, but I have no knowledge of it beyond the website. I'll try to get some more recommendations from co-workers today.

Make sure you bring bug stuff; the black flies can be pretty brutal.

Seconding North of Highland Camping area in nicwolff's second link. I camp there whenever I go to the cape (over 20 years now), and it's always just wonderful, and only 6 miles or so from Ptown. gorgeous.
