Question: Photo Gallery

A web photo gallery where the thumbnails expand to full size when you mouseover them. Done recently by someone, and linked somewhere else, that I can't find now and can't figure out what to Google for. Did anyone else see it?

This one from Dynamic Drive seems to do what you want. although the expansion doesn't occur 'in place'. Beware talking advert on that page!

You're probably thinking of the one from simplebits: the image zooms from a thumbnail right on the page.

There's a nifty little PHP app called "pmdb" (Personal Movie Database) that has a subroutine that does something similar (ie: pops up a thumbnail when you rollover a title). As long as you don't mock my taste in movies (who can explain where they get DVDs?) you can take a peek Ravin' Dave's DVD Collection.

(Honestly, I have no idea why I'm missing so many classics and somehow have a Jesse Ventura movie ... )

If you're a code jockey looking to incorporate this notion you can get the source from freshmeat.net.
