Outlook/Exchange Filter:: I have a user that has all his mail being delivered to a .pst file. How do i change it so that it keeps all the mail on the exchange server? Also, how do i get all his mail from the .pst file back on the server. He is using outlook 2007 and the exchange server is 2003.

Tools -> Account Settings. Data Files Tab, highlight the .ost file that corresponds to his mailbox on the server. Click Set as Default.

To copy his mail back up to the server, you can just highlight all the mail in his personal or archive folders and drag it over to the server mailbox.

Make sure that the .pst file doesn't contain more data than your Exchange mailbox size limits allow before you move it all back to the server.

and as .pst's can be ridiculously large files, this can be a clunky process.

Make sure you get everything when transferring the messages over. A lot of times people will miss the sent items or deleted items folder. Also, this should go without saying, but please preserve the user's organization structure.

Seconding the advice to make sure the mailbox limit won't be exceeded.
