OSX AIM crashes when I close a window.

Everytime I close an IM window or IM info window in the latest version of AIM, the whole program crashes. What's the deal? [mi]
Running Mac OS 10.2, latest version of AIM.
It gives the standard Mac error warning, "This application has unexpectedly quit". Google-fu gives this thread over at version tracker, but alas there are no solutions to the problem to accompany the question. Any Mac gurus out there know what's up?

If that doesn't do it, I recommend you use iChat, Proteus, Fire or Adium instead.
