what will t-shirts at the Madison Square Garden Pearl Jam concert roughly cost?

My sister is off to see PJ in June in Madison Square Garden and I want to get her to buy me a t-shirt. How much should I give her so that she's not out of pocket buying it?

I know the average cost for t-shirts here in Europe, is the merchandise at a US concert similar? ($40-50) 26-30Euro

Best answer: For a big-name band at a big venue, $40 sounds about right.

I don't think I've ever seen tees over $40, but they do seem to top out near there.

OMFG! $40.00 for a T-shirt? Where will it end? Seriously. Let's examine this... Two years ago a touring band charged $45.00 for the top ticket to a local venue. This year, with no new album, no new DVD video, no new nothing the top ticket is $65.00 Last I checked doing nothing for two years didn't get me a raise.

Oh, and BTW I've noticed about $30 -$35.00 for Tees at the last few events I've been to.

Response by poster: Cool, thanks for the answers. It is expensive but I figure the same way as wolfdog 'big name, big venue' might push the cost up a bit too.

I reckon I'll give her $80 and she can get a drink with the change.

When they were in Boston in May 2006 at the TD Bank North Garden, I recall the t-shirts being in the $30-$35 range. $40 seems about right.

I went to a Smashing Pumpkins concert a few months back and shirts were $35.

Muse a year or so ago and they were $30.

So $40 should cover a shirt.
