Name that castle!

Brooklyn-Filter: What is the big building at the corner of Bedford and Atlantic Avenues?

It's that huge red brick building with turrets. No signage to suggest what it's being used for, and the guy on Forgotten NY has not yet gotten that far up Bedford. I'm interested in (a) what the building currently serves as, and (b) why and when it was originally built.

Does it have a name? Any info you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's the old armory building. First result for "building turrets bedford atlantic" in Google.
