is there a way to combine a set of Word documents into one large file without cutting and pasting? I am using Office 2007 and I have a folder of about 20 files, all of which are lists of references. I need to have them all on one document. Is there a quick or easy way of doing this?

Put the cursor where you want the file to be inserted.

Select the Insert menu, then select "File". You'll get a dialog box asking you what file you want to insert, pick the Word file name, and voila!

Word also has a system of "Master Documents" which would, as I understand it, amount to the same thing but leave you free to edit the sub-documents, then have the changes reflected in the Master.
