Au secours! Comprehensive online resource(s) for translating an English CV into French? Proofreader referrals?
The nitty gritty: recent graduate, American, trying to translate English CV into French. Fluent in French, apart from verlan (which remains a b*tch).
I think I've got a pretty good handle on the basics of French CVs and cover letters -- formules de politesse, forms of address, layout, etc.
(For others needing resources, these sites:
1,
2,
3, and a
collection of resumes.)
Par contre, I have hit a wall when it comes to fine tuning it, proofreading, etc. Sometimes it's specific terminology ("relevant coursework," "multiple dean's lists" for instance), and sometimes it's nit picky grammar.
I tried to gain access to the HEC CV search (no dice, I'm not a recruiter).
In short, does anyone know of a thorough set of CVs of high caliber French jeunes diplomes available online, or alternatively of any proofreaders accepting online payment?
Merci enormement!

You can ask specific translation questions here.
I haven't used it myself but i've checked some threads and it seems serious and active.
As for a proof reader, you should search a "écrivain public". It's a job that's kinda like what a proofreader does but it also include more creative langage skills. Basically those guys are freelance writers used mostly by people, not businesses, to write anything, from speeches to cover letters, eulogies and administrative documents.
