Quicksilver for Bookmarklets

Is it possible to access Firefox bookmarklets via Quicksilver?

I'm looking to be able to "Shorten URL" or "Gmail This" or "Add to del.icio.us" and there's workarounds for most things, but just accessing the bookmarklet via QS would be best.

Yes, definitely; all my FF bookmarks show up in my QS search boxes.

You'll have to add the bookmarks folder to your QS Catalog; this allows QS to index the bookmarks and you can then manipulate them with QS. I'm not at my mac now, but you should access the Catalog via the QS preferences, and add the folder where your bookmarks are located.

And this includes bookmarklets, not just bookmarks?

I've got access to my bookmarks, but not my bookmarklets. Sorry if I wasn't very clear about this!

Well - IANAPU (Power User), but my feeling is that QuickSilver can run and manipulate anything (files, apps, even emails or address book entries) that it can reach via its Catalog. A bookmarklet more or less works as a bookmark, so you should theoretically be able to run it via QS.

From bookmarklets.com: "Each bookmarklet is a tiny program (a JavaScript application) contained in a bookmark (the URL is a "javascript:" URL) which can be saved and used the same way you use normal bookmarks." If that is correct, QS should be able to run your bookmarklets.

A bit of Google-fu comes up with an article on LifeHacker about QS: Top 10 QuickSilver Plug-Ins. Check out the Firefox module; installing it might help with your problem.

Yeah, I've got the Firefox module installed, and it lists all my bookmarks, but for some reason, it skips bookmarklets. Thanks so much though.

I don't have an answer, but I can confirm the problem. My bookmarklets show up in QS's dictionary, but there aren't any appropriate actions available. If I type "Ask Metafilter" into QS, I get an "Open URL" action, but if I type "Post to del.icio.us", that action isn't available, just QS internals like "Show Source in Catalog."
