Who can recommend a good hair colorist in the Boston area?

Criteria:

1. Accessible by T
2. Works on weekends
3. No more expensive than usual

Thanks!

Eva at James Joseph. She only cuts my hair (I don't color--yet) but she's supposed to be great for color. She's the first stylist I've ever gone back to because I got so many compliments. (Note: I am not a high maintenance hair person so YMMV.) I'm seriously considering salon coloring for the first time and she's who I would go to or get a recommendation from. I think she also works Saturdays and one evening.

judy jetson hair salon between harvard and porter squares on mass ave. (617) 354-2628

i'd call to check what they charge for color, but as for cuts, i've had good experiences there with Feri.

I have a friend who worked at a hair salon in Boston for about a year. The salon is called Beaucage, and it's on Newbury St. a few blocks from the commons. See Janelle for a good price, Kristen for a higher but still reasonable price, and Dean for the fucking MAD MONEY SPENDING but he is really the best. Any of these three will do a great job. You'd also be in good hands with Elizabeth, Troy, or James.
