Will Sunrider Take Me For A Ride?

Does anyone have experience with Sunrider nutritional products? We have friends who tell positive, though anecdotal, stories about their physical effects. I know about MLMs, and have no intention of making a business. I'm just wondering if it is worth buying this stuff, or is there equivalent in our little, rural health food store. We are healthy people with a good diet, not looking for miracle cures.

I used to take classes at a yoga studio that pushed Sunrider products very hard. The pitch felt pretty scammy so I did some research on it. Basically, it's overpriced pseudo-health food with an MLM sales model. Their products are touted as herbal and all-natural but they use a lot of preservative chemicals, aspartame, etc. Sunrider has run afoul of the FDA for poor quality control and deceptive product labeling.

You won't die if you eat Sunrider products but they won't do much for your health or pocketbook.

I used sunrider products at a low level for a few years(!) a long time ago. I do not feel that it fundamentally affected my health one way or another. It certainly did not boost my immune system. If I was looking for herbal supplements now I would research my own combos. The good diet will get you the farthest.
