The navigation buttons are disappearing from my Firefox. What's going on?

I know next to nothing about computers, so please excuse my inability to explain my problem with accurate terminology. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Mac OSX Leopard. Every time I quit Firefox and reopen it, something from the navigation bar is missing. At first the search engine box next to the box where I can type in a URL disappeared. Then the little box where I type in a URL disappeared. Then the little buttons to go forward, backward, home, and reload disappeared. I checked View>Toolbars and everything is checked. What's going on?

Hows about right-clicking in the Nav area - below the "File Edit View" line, and above the actual display area of the browser. You should get a context menu which'll bring it all back...hopefully.

There's a small oval button in the upper right corner of Firefox's window. Can you try clicking that?

Yeah, right click or control-click on the toolbar where everything should be. A little menu should pop up. Click on Customise and you should get a box with all your missing elements. Drag them back onto the toolbar and you're all set.

By the way, I'd question whether someone's playing a prank on you.

Oh - you're on a Mac. When I said right-click I mean Apple-click (or whatever the hell you crazy Mac kids do to get the context menu.)
