car use compensation

Is there a California law on the books that dictates compensation for using a personal car for work related activities? Various Google searches give me endless personal injury attorney links. Thanks!

You're probably getting personal injury results because you're using the word "compensation" in your search. Try using "reimbursement" and "personal vehicle" and "labor law" etc. I found some results on Google, but I don't know if they're exactly what you're looking for.

Don't know about California law specifically, but remember that unreimbursed business expenses, including mileage and other out-of-pocket expenses (tolls, etc..) , may be deductible on your federal income tax return at the current rate of 50.5 cents per mile. As with all things IRS, certain limitations may apply.

You can search California Law directly. I didn't find anything relevant in a brief search, but perhaps you can find something with more persistence. Or perhaps there isn't any such law.
