Question: Name my dad's band!

Band-name-filter: It's been done before, do it again -- suggest band names... My father (mid-fifties) and his muso mates want to form a band, and they're stuck for a name. He's been pestering me to come up with name ideas (being creative and all that), so I come to the hivemind.

They are all in their 40s and 50s, in my experience they seldom actually play songs, rather they just jam - but if they ever do songs, I suspect it'll be covers of stuff.

Previously I know my father was in a band called 'Viagra Falls', so maybe that provides some insight?

A million times I've seen a phrase on the net or in a news story and thought "that would be a great band name" but I can't remember any of them now.

So are you saying that they're a jam band in the tradition of the Dead or Phish, or is that taking too narrow a view of what it is to be a band that jams? Is it psychedelic countrified bluegrass rock? Shout it matter?

If context really doesn't matter, I think the last time I had a "band name!" moment (yesterday) it was "Black Australorp."

If it's a jazz band the easiest method is to think on an airport. Any component of an airport is a great jazz band name. (Can work for Jazz Rock/Fusion too)

Viagra Viewfinder is one of my favorites, but I doubt they'd like to re use the word Viagra in their name. A guy at work and I open up the dictionary and take the top word on two back to back pages and throw them together, and it seems to work well. I'd say Spread Eagle Squad Car and Impossible Pickle are my favorites.
