Ghost appointments on my iPhone

Why does my iPhone insist that I have an appt every Monday @ 6.30pm?

I used to have a recurring appt every Monday @ 6.30pm, but I no longer do. I've deleted this appt from my iPhone and iCal (i.e., there is definitely a point in time at which the appt is absent in both). But every time I sync my iPhone, the appt shows up in the calendar.

Anybody know why? Where is this info coming from if not from iCal?

If you use .Mac syncing it might well exist on .Mac but not on your iPhone or iCal. Sometimes the sync gets borked and funny things happen. Here's what I'd do:

Sync .Mac and iPhone (via iTunes) once to make sure you have everything on your mac.

Use the Advanced option in .Mac System Prefences to reset .Mac's data. Make sure you select the option that allows you to replace the data on the server with your mac's data.

Go to the iPhone page in iTunes and tell it to reset all the data on the iPhone.

Sync everything up. Cross fingers.

Click edit on that appt- make sure it is not set to be repeating weekly.
