My Hotmail Account Is Possessed. Help!

I need advice from a good computer exorcist. What is going on with Hotmail? It will not let me send a reply or forward emails.

I just want to be able to send and forward emails like I have always been able to with my Hotmail account. Do you have any suggestions for me? I keep getting emails from people asking things like, "Why did you send me a blank email? Was this supposed to be something?" Another thing too is that sometimes it lets me reply to an email but my reply is underneath the other person's email, rather than above it so they can notice it. Do I have a virus? This is driving me bonkers. If this continues I am seriously considering switching to Gmail or something. Any ideas?

When did it start happening?
Does it do it only on one computer, or any computer?
Have you tried using a different browser? ( IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari)
Have you emptied your temporary internet files, ran Disk Defragmenter, or virus scan ?
(Trend Micro makes a good online virus scan)

Are you using Firefox? Hotmail (and Microsoft in general) has a bad rap sheet on cooperating with browsers that aren't internet explorer.

I think you answered your own question!

Hotmail (Windows Live Mail) is in the process of one of their famous "updates." Supposedly they're adding features and retro-ing others, to make navigation easier and to bring back some things from before the previous update that users screamed about losing. I'm a frustrated Hotmail user too, and mine just recently started acting normal again, so hang in there and hopefully yours will too.

Response by poster: I do not think I can try answering the first four questions and sound even remotely intelligent here. It has been happening for about two weeks on every computer I've approached. Is a browser like Google? If so, that's what I use. I have very little stuff stored on my temporary internet files thingy. Also, Amyms, you have eased my mind. Thanks everybody!

1. Find your IP.

2. Check your IP on the Composite Black List (CBL).

3. If your IP is not on the blacklist, I've no idea.

4. If your IP is on the blacklist, get rid of the malware and then apply to be removed from the blacklist.

Response by poster: Thanks, UnSane, that was helpful. I am luckily not on the BlackList. I was nervous there for a minute.

Gmail is Hotmail for grownups. Sounds like you've grown up.
