Fleetwood Mac documentary?

I'm looking for a documentary about Fleetwood Mac that a friend had spoken highly of but which I can't seem to find. It might have been about the making of 'Rumours' but I only see a book about that on Amazon--no film. Anyone seen this?

You may mean The Dance, which is a documentary about the making of Rumours. If not, there are a few other choices here, under the category 'Titles'.

I think it was that Classic Album series. Available at Walmart on DVD...supposedly.

There are several Fleetwood Mac documentaries available on YouTube. I'm wondering, though, if your friend is referring to the VHS tape entitled simply Fleetwood Mac . The video contained interviews with each member of the band, as well as studio footage of them recording the songs that would end up on Tusk. There was also some concert footage included. I got my copy of this video in 1981, but it might've been released in 1980.

It's a very good look at the band and the dynamics within it as the album was being made.

The Dance is not a documentary, it's a concert.

If so, then I bet that it is the Rumors episode of Classic Albums that disclaimer linked to above.

Yes, to reiterate, The Dance is a DVD from their "reunion" type tour in 1997. Not documentary, not Rumours-related. Very good, though.

This clip is from that Fleetwood Mac video I mentioned above. It's oftened referred to as the "Tusk documentary," but the original video was simply called Fleetwood Mac.
