Movie with invisible space-born breath-holders?!

Looking for an old (late 70's, early 80's) movie that I vaguely remember from when I was youngish. The only thing I seem to recall is that there was a family (from space!) that crashed their spaceship in a lake (?) and could turn invisible when they held their breath. Anyone know what this could be?

Escape to Witch Mountain? (though I don't remeber the invisible part, there is a spaceship in a lake and a flying winnebago)

If there was a green monkey in it, too, then it was Earthbound. I'm pretty sure I remember them being able to hold their breath and turn invisible in that, and there was definitely crashing a spaceship in a lake.
